New York – Pinnacle Group Worldwide Announces the SAS 70 Type 1 Certification of their network operations center (NOC).
Pinnacle Group Worldwide, a leading international business and financial consulting service organization, recently received a clear confirmation on the strength of Pinnacle’s NOC, K2Analytics.com, through a Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type 1 assessment. K2Analytics.com is the industry’s first ‘Business Performance Management (BPM) as a service’ offering, providing Pinnacle’s clients with access to Hyperion’s
premiere suite of BPM Tools on a monthly subscription basis.
The launch of K2Analytics.com has made access to Hyperion System 9 BPM software easier than ever before, providing clients with an option to host applications in Pinnacle’s NOC, avoiding the need for a traditional implementation and associated internal administration.
The SAS 70 assessment, a standard from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), is aimed at service organizations and performed by trusted independent third parties. Clients engaging in or considering outsourcing, especially those subject to legislation such as Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA, increasingly require such third-party confirmation of capabilities from their providers.
Pinnacle’s service auditor, Chief Security Officers, performed extensive testing of the control activities that have been implemented by Pinnacle Group Worldwide to help ensure that their control objectives are met. Following a rigorous examination, the service auditor’s testing certified:
• The description of the controls prepared by Pinnacle Group Worldwide presents fairly, in all material respects, the relevant aspects of the Pinnacle Group Worldwide controls that had been placed in operation.
• The controls were suitably designed to provide reasonable assurance that the specified control objectives would be achieved if those controls were complied with satisfactorily.
Pinnacle Group Worldwide’s senior management recognizes the importance of third party auditors in today’s business environment and has such engaged Chief Security Officers to a long term contract and undergo the Type 2 audit to be completed later this year with yearly recertification.
